Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is the IETF standard used in remote monitoring of devices and applications. The associated standard, Structure of Management Information (SMI) defines data types used by managed objects in a Management Information Base (MIB), providing for interoperability between the SNMP Agents and Managers. NuDesign supports SNMP v1/v2c/v3 standards including security features.
- Use MIB Browser to query (Get / Set), walk & poll devices, receive Traps or trace & test (supports scripting) SNMP Agents.
- Use SNMP Traffic Monitor to capture, filter, decode & analyze SNMP traffic.
- Visually create / edit SMI compliant MIBs using MIB Builder.
